BalloonFest: Preparing For The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2017

This is Balloonfest – Join us for a first look at the very start of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, where hundreds of volunteers gather 3 weeks in advance to practice walking the large inflatables around the parking lot to get ready for the “real” show. Each year, we custom-imprint thousands of colorful latex balloons that will line the streets of Manhattan for the big day. While many people assume the parade is a one-day affair, putting together this celebration actually requires a month’s worth of preparation.

And was the helium recycled? Yes it was, making for an event that was as conscious as it was colorful. We are proud to be working with Macy’s for our fifteenth year, and look forward to many more years of helping to bring this exciting parade to life.
